About the Role

The Junior Accountant will assist with maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, integrity, organisation and practical experience using QuickBooks.

The successful candidate will work across areas including financial transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, budgeting and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using QuickBooks.
• Prepare invoices, receipts and payment vouchers.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support monthly financial reporting and budgeting activities.
• Assist with audit-related activities and requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience using QuickBooks is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax requirements.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• High levels of integrity and reliability.
• Good organisational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies will be an advantage.
