Systems Librarian

To manage, support, and continually optimize the library technology infrastructure to ensure reliable, seamless, and secure access to library systems and resources for students, faculty, and staff.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Master’s degree in library/information science from a recognized University.
Must possess professional training in IT/ICT (degree, diploma, or a recognized certification).
At least 5 years’ proven experience administering library systems, preferably including Integrated Library Systems (ILS), Repository systems, authentication and access management systems, and discovery layers.
Working knowledge of library workflows, metadata, and data standards (such as MARC 21, Dublin Core) and interoperability formats (such as OAI-PMH, Z39.50).
Practical knowledge of scripting or programming languages (such as Python, SQL, XML) and experience with APIs.
Proven experience in managing library-related projects.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
