Job Description
The Supervisor, Business Application Support is responsible for leading a team that provides technical support for KRA’s business applications. The role ensures smooth operational continuity, adherence to system change procedures, and translation of business requirements into technical specifications. This position is pivotal in maintaining system integrity, supporting user needs, and enforcing data security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise staff to implement approved Systems Change Requests (SCRs) and resolve complex technical issues.
- Coordinate SCR approval processes to ensure timely completion and compliance.
- Troubleshoot reported system and integration issues to maintain uninterrupted business operations.
- Translate business functional and non-functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and System Use Cases (SUCs).
- Review technical requirements and SUCs with stakeholders for completeness and feasibility.
- Develop high-level system design models and submit for peer review.
- Provide general assistance and training to system users to resolve operational issues.
- Generate reports and updates for stakeholders on system performance and support activities.
- Ensure conformity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, and KRA data security standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications and IT tools.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in business application support or related roles.
- Certification in ITIL, CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), or Project Management is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and team supervision abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership to a recognized professional IT body.
- Experience with enterprise systems, large-scale business applications, or integration platforms.
- Knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, and ISO standards.
- Familiarity with process and systems modeling techniques.
