The General Manager will provide strategic leadership in compliance enforcement, corporate planning, research, policy development, quality management, and organizational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance, enforcement, research, and corporate strategy policies.
  • Lead enforcement initiatives to ensure compliance with the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act.
  • Conduct compliance audits to assess adherence by holders of unclaimed financial assets.
  • Administer penalties, fines, and Voluntary Disclosure Programmes (VDP) in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Manage receipt, verification, and updating of unclaimed financial assets records and databases.
  • Conduct market surveillance and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate stakeholder capacity-building programs on compliance and enforcement.
  • Develop and implement corporate planning, performance management, and research strategies.
  • Lead implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Authority’s strategic and annual work plans.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Develop and coordinate the Authority’s research policy and knowledge management framework.
  • Provide strategic leadership in organizational performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications – Public Sector Executive Jobs in Kenya

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or another business-related field from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or a related business discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), CPA (K), ACCA, CISA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body where applicable.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, including at least five (5) years in senior management.
  • Leadership course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and corporate performance management systems.
