Librarian Job Description

The Librarian is responsible for managing library operations, supervising staff, maintaining information resources, and supporting effective information storage and retrieval systems. Required Qualifications for Librarian Jobs in Kenya

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Library Studies, Information Science, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in library or information management.
  • Membership with the Kenya Library Association (KLA).
  • Certificate in Computer Applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of librarian jobs in Kenya, library management systems, information services, digital libraries, and records management.
