The Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) is currently accepting applications for internship opportunities. KNATCOM is inviting motivated and qualified candidates to apply for internships in various departments.
Requirements:
- – Applicants should be currently enrolled in a university program or recently graduated.
- – Strong academic background and relevant coursework in areas such as education, culture, natural sciences, social and human sciences, communication, and information.
- – Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and potentially other languages).
- – Proficient in computer applications and research skills.
- – Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to new situations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- – Support professional staff members with research, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- – Assist in the planning and execution of events, workshops, and activities related to UNESCO’s areas of competence.
- – Contribute to operational tasks such as document preparation, correspondence, and project coordination.
- – Participate in meetings and gain exposure to the work of KNATCOM and its partners.
- – Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Important Information:
- – Internships are typically full-time engagements, lasting between 2-6 months.
- – Internships are unpaid, but successful candidates may be eligible for a modest stipend to cover basic expenses.
- – Candidates must reside in Kenya or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
- – Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews and assessments.
- – KNATCOM reserves the right to reject incomplete or inaccurate applications.
