Corporate Relationship Manager Job Description – Oil & Gas Banking Jobs in Kenya

The Corporate Relationship Manager – Oil & Gas is responsible for developing, growing, and managing relationships with corporate clients operating across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and oilfield services value chain. The role focuses on expanding the Bank’s market share by delivering customized financial solutions, maintaining portfolio quality, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Oil & Gas clients.
  • Acquire new corporate customers across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and oilfield services sectors.
  • Grow deposits, loans, trade finance, treasury, and transactional banking portfolios.
  • Structure working capital, project finance, structured trade finance, and asset finance solutions.
  • Prepare quality credit proposals and conduct financial and credit risk analysis.
  • Monitor customer facilities, ensure timely repayments, and initiate recovery actions where necessary.
  • Analyze industry trends, petroleum regulations, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Trade Finance, Treasury, Credit Risk, and Operations teams while ensuring compliance with AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
  • Professional banking qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Corporate Banking.
  • At least three years managing large corporate clients.
  • Experience handling Oil & Gas sector clients is highly desirable.
  • Strong expertise in structured finance, project finance, trade finance, and corporate banking jobs Kenya.
