About the Role

The Digital Transformation Project Manager leads delivery across the Delivery Centre of Excellence, coordinating Business Analysis, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Change & Adoption activities. The role also works with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations and external partners to maintain delivery momentum, manage dependencies and risks, and support successful business adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Project Delivery

• Manage project delivery from validated intent and requirements through build, quality assurance, release and operational readiness.
• Coordinate delivery across Business Analysis, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Change & Adoption teams.
• Establish project fundamentals and maintain delivery momentum through effective management of dependencies, risks and key decisions.
• Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources and forecasts.
• Track progress, adjust plans where necessary and ensure compliance with Delivery Centre of Excellence governance and project standards.

Change, Adoption and Stakeholder Engagement

• Support business-led change and adoption activities and integrate them into project plans, milestones and timelines.
• Coordinate readiness activities covering communications, training and operational transition.
• Act as a central coordination point for delivery stakeholders, ensuring clarity around roles, expectations and responsibilities.
• Facilitate governance forums, including Steering Committees and delivery reviews.
• Provide transparent reporting on project progress, risks, dependencies and trade-offs to support informed decision-making.

Financial, Risk and Vendor Management

• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost controls while monitoring financial performance and identifying variances.
• Identify and actively manage delivery, operational and organisational risks and facilitate resolution of complex issues.
• Ensure risks affecting business adoption and operational readiness are identified and addressed proactively.
• Support vendor sourcing, evaluation and onboarding and coordinate vendor contributions against delivery milestones.
• Ensure vendor activities align with Delivery Centre of Excellence standards, governance and project outcomes.

Delivery Excellence and Continuous Improvement

• Apply Delivery Centre of Excellence frameworks, standards and governance to promote consistent project delivery.
• Champion disciplined project management practices across delivery teams and business stakeholders.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to improvements in organisational delivery capability.
• Support the continued maturity of Delivery Centre of Excellence practices.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience, including two to three years managing IT projects or workstreams within complex delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead delivery activities or workstream teams through moderately complex initiatives while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain delivery status, risks and dependencies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with business partners, delivery teams and vendors to establish effective working relationships.
• Understanding of organisational change and adoption, including experience supporting implementation and transition into operations.
• Experience applying project standards, frameworks and governance and improving delivery practices.
• Ability to support projects across initiation, planning, execution and readiness for adoption.
• Broad exposure to enterprise IT environments, including applications, integration, infrastructure, data and cloud.
• Ability to operate effectively within complex, matrixed organisations and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to planning, risk management and delivery governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile or hybrid delivery certification such as Scrum, Disciplined Agile, SAFe or equivalent.
• Change management certification such as PROSCI or equivalent.
