About the Role

The Geo-Chemist II position is an entry and training grade for the cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer while supporting geochemical activities related to petroleum and oil and gas projects.

The role involves collecting and compiling petroleum-related geochemical data, assisting with planned geochemical field surveys, participating in basin analysis using petroleum geochemical data, contributing to petroleum-related reports and compiling oil and gas information for relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines from a university recognized in Kenya: Petroleum Geochemistry, Petroleum Geo-Science, Petroleum Chemistry, Geology, Chemistry, Petroleum Exploration and Production, Analytical Chemistry, Earth Science, Industrial Chemistry, Exploration Geo-Chemistry, or Chemistry and Mathematics.
