About the Role

The Geophysicist II position is an entry and training grade for the cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer while supporting geophysical activities related to petroleum and oil and gas projects.

The role involves collecting and compiling petroleum-related geophysical data, supporting planned field surveys, participating in basin analysis using petroleum geophysical data, preparing petroleum-related reports and compiling oil and gas information for relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines from a university recognized in Kenya: Geophysics, Petroleum Geophysics, Petroleum Geo-Science, Applied Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Exploration Geophysics, Earth Science, or Physics and Mathematics.
